NamasteDirect Giving Circles NamasteDirect giving circles are designed for raising funds in a group format. Individuals work together, creating their own community of donors to work toward a self-defined goal. These giving circles are a fun way to include your community in the giving process and the fulfillment of fully supporting a group of women in Central America who are working to lift their families out of poverty. Adoptive families honor the birth country of their children by supporting the women of Guatemala. While the Esperanza Giving Circle begins with two families' stories, the goal is for it to grow to include the stories and hopes of many. Women's Leadership Seminar Class 100 - PSI Seminars 77 women who met in August of 2008, grew as leaders, and as such, committed to making their world better. They believe in gathering support from as many resources as possible to make the biggest impact imaginable! Students from Hillsdale High in San Mateo, CA who aim to educate our community and ourselves on the importance of ending poverty and building a bridge between the privileged and the impoverished. Alamance Women's Giving Circle The Holy Comforter women voted on this project in answer to the National Church's challenge to adopt some of the Millennium Development Goals, established by United Nations in 2002. Parallel to this, the Episcopal Churchwomen of North Carolina Diocese voted on the goals of ending world poverty and educating women. NamasteDirect fits these goals for us. Melissa's Village funding circle was founded by Melissa Faith Klar. Together with her friends and family, Melissa is supporting many of the women she met while visiting Chiapas, Mexico. Founded by Kim and Pat Smith, the Timshel group is an organic expression of the power of the collective will and characterized by compassion and freedom, and directed to all those who believe in the positve application of our choices and actions.
The Valley Giving Girls are mothers, teachers, daughters, and friends who live in California's Central Valley. Touched by the stories and dreams of Guatemalan women they have started this group to raise money for them.
On September 30, 2007, a group of Los Angeles executive and professional women met to celebrate a milestone – a 40th Birthday. But what made this celebration different was the request for gifts.
We are a group of mothers in the Park City/Salt Lake City, Utah and Boise, Idaho areas who use our influence and abilities to help other families out of the depths of poverty.
Members of Calaveras County, a rural California community in the Sierra Nevada Mountains have come together to sponsor a village bank in the region of Santa Cruz del Quiche in the Guatemalan highlands.
